  • What is the purpose of Genius Coaching?

Genius Coaching aims to recognize and foster the inherent abilities and talents in each child. We work closely with parents to help them nurture and guide their children in developing and expressing their unique potential. This approach often helps address behavioral or academic issues at school or home, leading to a more content, engaged, and happy child.
  • What's the best age for a child to receive Genius Coaching?

The ideal time to start Genius Coaching is as early as possible, regardless of the child's age. Children aged seven and above can certainly benefit from our services. It's important to note that older children may have accumulated more negative experiences, such as feeling out of place or failing to meet expectations. These experiences can lead to ingrained habits and negative emotional patterns. Early intervention can help minimize these issues and provide a fresh start for learning.
  • What's the upper age limit for a child to benefit from Genius Coaching?

There is no upper age limit for Genius Coaching. Our services are beneficial for children of all ages, from primary school through to college. While the specific techniques and focus may vary depending on the child's age, our ultimate goal remains consistent: to achieve lasting, positive change in the child's life and learning experiences.
  • How long does Genius Coaching take?

Our typical Genius Coaching programs consist of weekly one-hour sessions over a period of eight to twelve weeks. This initial phase provides essential training for both the parent and child. Following this, we recommend follow-up sessions every two months to ensure that parental coaching remains aligned with the child's ongoing mental, physical, and social development.
  • How do we get started with Genius Coaching?

To begin your Genius Coaching journey, please contact our office to schedule an initial evaluation session. This session should include your child and at least one parent, though ideally both parents should attend. During this meeting, we will conduct interviews with both the child and the parent(s) to understand your reasons for seeking our services, discuss any behavioral issues at school or home, and determine if Genius Coaching is the appropriate solution for your child's needs.
  • How do you determine if Genius Coaching is appropriate?

We assess the suitability of Genius Coaching through careful evaluation. It's important to note that our service is not therapy and doesn't employ a therapeutic approach. In some cases, a child may require counseling or therapy first, particularly for issues like post-traumatic stress disorder or other emotional or psychological symptoms unrelated to school or home learning frustrations. Additionally, Genius Coaching requires parental participation, so we ensure parents are willing to engage in the coaching process alongside their child.
  • Why do you require the parent or parents to participate?

Parental involvement is crucial in Genius Coaching because parents play a pivotal role in shaping their child's environment and responses to behavior. Our coaches can't be present in the home daily, so parents act as the child's primary coach between sessions. This ensures continuity and consistency in the coaching process. We require at least one parent, preferably both, to participate fully to maintain this consistency day-to-day and week-to-week. For our college-aged clients, parental participation is not mandatory, as these students are expected to be mature enough to self-coach between sessions.
  • My child is wonderful – but a genius? I'm not sure I want my child pressured to live up to that label. That sounds like a lot of stress.

Our definition of 'genius' extends far beyond traditional academic measures. We believe that genius-level gifts manifest in countless forms, from creative arts to leadership skills, from working with nature to excelling in crafts. Genius Coaching helps your child discover and express their unique form of genius, which every child possesses. This process actually reduces stress by shifting the focus from external pressures to exploring and developing internal resources, leading to increased joy and self-fulfillment.
  • How do I know if my child and I would benefit from Genius Coaching?

Genius Coaching can benefit almost any child and parent. Our approach is based on the belief that every child has innate talents and abilities. Through our coaching, we help identify these unique gifts and guide parents in nurturing them. This process allows children to channel their creative energies into meaningful, satisfying activities, fostering joy and self-esteem. As a result, both the child's and parent's lives are enriched.
  • My child doesn't test very well and finds this very discouraging. What do I tell them?

It's important to reassess your own perspective on test scores first. Your child will perceive your true feelings, even if you offer verbal reassurance. Understanding the limitations of standardized tests is crucial. These tests primarily evaluate a narrow range of skills - math, logic, reading comprehension, and memorization - while overlooking many other valuable talents and abilities. Explaining this to your child can help them understand that their worth and potential extend far beyond test scores. Emphasize that these tests reflect more on societal priorities than on your child's innate gifts and capabilities.

Where Genius Coaching Comes From

Since 2003, the Genius Coaching methodology has evolved through continuous experimentation and experiential research. It’s built on the principles of interactive teaching, professional coaching, educational kinesiology, psychoneuroimmunology, and functional physiology. Inspired by positive psychology and the brilliance of people ages 5 to 85, our system blends science, play, and purpose.

Decoding Genius uses the most advanced evaluation system for identifying and understanding human brilliance—The Genius Profile.

Genius Biology: The Source

The adult human body contains roughly 100 trillion cells, all communicating in four ways:

  • Direct touch within tissues and neighboring organs
  • Biochemical messengers such as enzymes, hormones, or mRNA
  • Electrical signals via the brain, nerves, and muscles
  • Light transmission within fascia fibers surrounding muscles and organs

DNA acts as the information matrix coordinating these processes, supporting renewal, regeneration, and even encoding individual abilities that form the foundation for a successful life beyond mere survival.

For thousands of years, the human body has functioned at a genius level—often hidden, suppressed, or untapped. When this innate wisdom is not accessed, warning signs may appear, including shyness, low confidence, ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or suicidal thoughts.

Once innate genius is decoded and activated, these physical and emotional signals diminish. Children and adults experience greater joy, authenticity, connection, purpose, and energy—living fully aligned with their natural potential.
